Dak voor Daklozen
architectuur voor daklozen en de buurt
Buildings for homeless care centres generally have a very closed character. The requested public program and the situation on the border of a residential area requires a more open character.
In a certain way the building invites people to enter the building, on the other hand Home for Homeless provides a secure environment without being 'tucked away'.
The building is divided into three parts: the public part is open and easily accessible from outside, the collective spaces are not publicly accessible but visible from outside. The private rooms, dormitories and medical spaces are placed in monolithic blocks and are hidden from the public.
